Martin Sheen is an actor and director of films. Sheen is also the father of Charlie Sheen (#winning, #tigerblood) and Emilio Estevez (the coach from the Mighty Ducks movies). Martin is from Dayton, Ohio and holds citizenship in the USA, Ireland, and Spain.
My main focus on Martin Sheen is the time he spent in Dayton. He went to high school at Chaminade (now Chaminade-Jullien High School) in Dayton, Ohio. When he was a child he lived with his family on Brown Street. His father, a worker at NCR, wanted Martin to attend college at the University of Dayton, but Martin wanted to pursue an acting career, so he purposely failed UD's entrance exams they administered at the time. Martin's father was furious, but Martin did as he pleased and became a popular film star and director.
Sheen now spends most of his time relaxing or working with liberal politicians to create a more humane and peaceful world. I know this is a short blog, but Sheen didn't do a whole lot while living in Dayton as a youngster, or at least I could not find any record of any actions.
I wonder what Martin Sheen thinks of Dayton currently? Does he Dayton as a place that he is "from" but due to his career and success seems more like a distant memory for him?
